Itinerary

Day 1 - Feel the city

Arrival at Porto Airport, private transfer to your 4* hotel in Porto and check-in.

Tonight you will have a traditional welcome dinner (included) where you will have the chance to try some of the most wellknown dishes from Porto cuisine.

Accommodation in Porto for 2 nights with breakfast.

Day 2 - Essence of Porto

In the morning, after breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel for the half-day visit to the city of Porto with an official Tour Guide.

In the historical city centre, considered World Heritage by UNESCO, you will have more than enough time to explore Lello Bookstore, where Harry Potter books and movies were inspired. The Gold Church of São Francisco and right next door you'll find the Stock Exchange Palace with incredible granite work and magnificent neo-Arab influences (entrance not included). We will finish this tour with visit and wine tasting to the famous Port wine cellars.

Transfer back to your hotel and free time. Accommodation in Porto 4*.

Day 3 - Scenic Drive to Douro and tour in Douro

Após o pequeno-almoço, check-out e transfer para Pinhão pela Estrada Nacional 222, pelas margens do rio Douro, uma das estradas mais surpreendentes de Portugal.

Um guia irá mostrar-lhe Pinhão e as melhores vistas do Vale do Douro, seguido de um almoço tradicional numa das famosas adegas do Vale do Douro.

Após o almoço visita às vinhas e prova de vinhos.

Day 4 - Douro Valley - Food and wine experience

After breakfast free time to relax or for some personal activities.

At lunch time we will pick you up and take you to one of the best experiences in Douro, a Pic-nic in the middle of the vineyards or a lunch in an iconic local restaurant followed by a wine tasting in one of the amazing wineries of Douro.

Transfer back to hotel.

Day 5 - Fly away into paradise

After checking out of Hotel do Douro, transfer to Porto airport.

Flight to Ponta Delgada.

Transfer to 4* Hotel in Ponta Delgada.

Day 6 - Blue and Green

After breakfast, tour to Lagoa do Fogo and Sete Cidades

The tour begins by visiting the traditional pineapple´s plantation, and continues on the west coast of the island where you'll enjoy the view Pico de Carvão‘s viewpoint. Surrounded by the greenest vegetation, we will find in Vista do Rei ‘s viewpoint at Sete Cidades volcanic complex.

A stop will be made in the picturesque Sete Cidades town where the lunch will be served in a regional restaurant. In the afternoon, the tour goes along the coast enjoying the western landscape until we arrive to Capelas, an ancient whaling village.

Continuing to the north coast, we will stop to visit the Ribeira Grande city and its historic center. Optionally, it is possible to go to the Regional Liquor’s Factory and taste its liquors. After that, Caldeira Velha, a natural reserve, is the chosen place to take an optional bath enjoying the warm water from a waterfall.

The last stop will be to take a look over the fantastic Lagoa do Fogo. Returning to Ponta Delgada going down by Pico da Barrosa, we will have once more the supreme view over the newest and narrowest part of the island.

Day 7 - Idyllic Azores

After breakfast we will pick you up at the hotel to further explore the Island. The first stop will be at Vila Franca do Campo, where it's possible to taste the famous local pastry – Queijada da Vila.

Arriving at Furnas‘ valley, near the gorgeous Furnas Lake, we will see some volcanic phenomena, known as fumarolas and also to see how the famous Cozido das Furnas (Furnas stew) is cooked, a gastronomic delight of Azores. The tour is followed by a visit to Terra Nostra garden (optional) before lunch, having the possibility to experience a thermal bath - a must do in our opinion, bring your swimsuits!

At Furnas village is possible to see more volcanic phenomena, where you can see the fumarolas in a mix of hot and fresh waters, some with medicinal properties. On the way up to the mountains we will stop to see the amazing view over Furnas valley, from Pico de Ferro‘s viewpoint.

By the north coast, more precisely in Ribeira Grande‘s, we will visit the Gorreana tea plantation and its factory, where we can taste the two kinds of tea – black and green. The last stop will be at Santa Iria‘s viewpoint to have a gorgeous view over the north coast.

Day 8 - Breath and Relax

Full Free day for you to explore the city on your own and enjoy the island laid back ambiance

Day 9 - We warned you wouldn't want to leave!

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport, flight to Porto or Lisbon.

If you cancel less than 31 days before the start time of the experience, the amount paid will not be refunded. Any changes made less than 31 days before the start time of the experience will not be accepted. Cut-off times are based on the experience's local time. This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If canceled because the minimum has not been met, you will receive a different date/experience or a full refund.
